I am from Lake Tahoe with family ties throughout California. Currently I am completing my Emergency Medicine Residency at Brown, class of 2025. I have my MS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Georgetown and my BS in Conservation Ecology from UC Berkeley. I am a ski patroller (NSP) and volunteer with the Mount Washington backcountry ski patrol in Tuckermans ravine, NH. I am a member of the ACEP disaster committee and I have a specific interest in how climate change is impacting community health and disaster risk.
When I’m not working you can find me adventuring outside on any ski (backcountry, front side, cross country), board (snowboard, surfboard), bike (road, gravel, mountain), rock (climbing), or boat (I also row). My life is all about playing outside, come join me :)

Dr. Strauss will lead a talk and workshop respectively:

Water in the Wilderness

Reductions in the backcountry (AIPW)
